Well this is unusual... is the puzzle social-distancing itself?

Joe Ross offers an interesting observation/prediction: "I think that tomorrow's WSJ Crossword Contest will be late posting due to this past week's time change & a failure to adjust."

All other puzzles this week are at least listed as posted on time, though.

A little off topic but is there a way to get email notifications for the crossword contest puzzle only? I've done them in the past but remember getting one every day, which I don't want.

...asking for a friend.

My belief is that
1) we had a full moon this week
2) the triskaidekaphobia gremlins got in the system
3) the system was attacked by the coronavirus
4) the market crash held up things

or as Maine Marge suggested to me, someone concluded that large virtual events were included in the cancellations, especially if the participants are in the most vulnerable age group

because it could not be a simple as they forgot to set the clocks ahead.

all over the country, Muggles are having the DT's

Y-you don't suppose they've quarantined the Love Boat, do you? Or worse yet -- the Guinness delivery tanker?

Nope... I just figured it out. We're going to out-Joon Joon this week: We're gonna try to solve the meta without looking at the title...or the prompt... or the clues... or the grid.

No puzzle (yet), no college hockey, no NHL hockey, no MLB, not much NCAA bball, fun weekend activities cancelled in Tampa this weekend...

Stay calm, drink Guinness!
'tis... A lovely day for a Guinness!

OK, we are all a lot poorer than we were last week, but now they are really hitting me where it hurts ... a delayed puzzle?!?!
Good luck, fellow Muggles!
