Beamed at 65! Great puzzle, Ben!

PS: If you want help with a meta, PM what you have so I can help without spoiling too much. I've received lots of help in the beginning and I love to pay it forward!

Thanks for the great feedback, everyone! I woke up to find that Matt had selected one of the five puzzles I sent him. I had no idea which one he was going to select, if at all. And to find he also decided to make it a "downs only / no instructions" puzzle - wow!
And congrats to @MikeyG for being "1 Across"! I guess doing all those MOATs and thereby being somewhat familiar with my puzzling style paid off!

Check out "The MOAT MEOW Mashup Pack" here. US$10 for 14 metas that don't always abide by the "rules" of the game: asymmetry, 2-letter words, uncrossed letters, who knows. And this time there's a mega-meta!

Emailed Matt with my answer. I believe it's a 100% er.

I was secretly hoping for a drum machine reference due to the puzzle number. Perhaps 58-Down used an 808?

Nice puzzle, Ben. In Australia, is the movie "Elf" on TV 24/7 for 6 weeks before Christmas? Just curious.

We have this same ensemble. It bas been the favorite toy of all five of our granddaughters. Every one of them has worn the sunglasses upside down!

Beamed aboard at 149. Toughest part was finding the place to submit.
One of my favorite puzzles from Ben.

For you maybe, I'm still looking for the second step ( I THINK I have the first)
NUDGES!I am always willing to give nudges where needed; metas should be about fun, not frustration. Send me what you have done so far because often you are closer than you think!

Solved awaiting beam…
EDIT in at #143
I’ll take it for a late start on a week 4, even if you went a little easier on us

Awaiting the beam... [I don't want to lose my solver streak! ]
... and I'm beamed at #160. If you solved after me, minus 1 from your number to get your true position!
