Greetings muggles

Today's puzzle is titled GAME PIECES by Patrick Berry

The answer to this week's contest is the name of a game. (Settler's of Catan maybe???)

Also as a resource and a lot of work by a couple of muggles, the past WSJ crossword contests and solutions are available on the blog at Come Aboard/FAQs – community/Past WSJ Crossword Contests & Solutions. They provide a tremendous resource for learning and refreshing about the techniques used to solve meta contests.

If I'm around, I am willing to join the Muggle Zoom room at other times to lend a hand to those in need.

Ashore. I have a minor nitpick, but overall I enjoyed it.

It’s not often that I get the meta after completing one quarter of the grid..... A Rows Garden by Patrick Berry can take me hours. Some of his variety puzzles are hard! This meta, not so much.

I believe I see this one. May be wrong. In any case, tentatively on shore
