Sent in my answer. I believe it's right - fits what they ask - but still iffy on it.

Please check out the new thread entitled Past WSJ Crossword Contests & Solutions, which can be found in the Come Aboard-->FAQ s - Community forum. A work in progress, this thread will contain images of all available past WSJ Crossword Contest puzzles, along with their solutions. The hope is that this will be a valuable resource that will allow those new to meta crosswords to study past mechanisms, as well as for seasoned solvers who may be stuck on a current meta and want to help get some ideas flowing.
Special thanks to Joe Ross, who has undertaken the yeoman's task of compiling and posting these images.

I'm on the same beach as Al Sisti. But I think it's the right one.

I am safely on shore. Started this one early after going down to the wire last week.
Thanks go to Joe. 100% his idea, initiative and effort!

On shore after keeping Isaac company all last weekend. Good to be back on dry land.

Oh, Mike! So very clever. Terrific puzzle with a very tempting red herring that I'm sure will be a common rabbit hole. Not to mix metaphors there ...
Good luck, fellow Muggles!

Got an answer right away that I feel sure of, but the comment about a tempting red herring has me a little worried. Hope this isn't another "pageant".

Complete! Fairly quick solve, but may pose a challenge for some.

If I'm around, I am willing to join the Muggle Zoom room at other times to lend a hand to those in need.
