I definitely got that faster than his last week's meta! (I'm unconfirmed but confident.)

If I had to finish the grid without help I’d cry. The meta answer was lots easier.

A rare occurrence: I got a few of the answers in the grid, including three long ones, without Google. I saw the meta right away, and I'm 100% sure.

Definitely couldn't finish the grid without Google, though I got closer than I did last week. Cute meta (and much easier than usual IMO)!

Week 2-ish? A nice construction.
I caught onto last week's pretty quick, but didn't see the inverted T in my image search for RESIST. I knew it had to be INVERT, and so figured that we were supposed to get creative looking for an inverted T in the grid. My very tentative thought was that the "script" for the puzzle is that it's a STYLIZED LETTERS META, a phrase, as it happens, that forms an inverted T in the grid.

The movie referenced in 16A, a mock documentary with Eric Idle, is hilarious. A must-see, if you can find it.

Oh, wow! This is what happens to me frequently when a crossword clue or answer sends me on a joyful tangent. Thanks, Peter! I'm on Google researching 16A and learning that there was much more to it than just the movie I was thinking of, "All You Need Is Cash." Also Neil Innes, who played the John Lennon character, just died a week ago. If anybody needs me, I'll be in my attic searching for my VHS copy of the movie that I know is up there somewhere.

Good one. Grid-wise I needed to google only one corner this week. Next I over-thought the meta for a while, then got it swiftly. Familiar mechanism, though I know I can't expect Peter to break new meta ground each week. Still, I appreciate that he so often does.

Got it. Fun one - I like this mechanism, and haven't seen it much lately.

Interesting. I found the grid to be brutal (worse than last week) and the meta to be incomprehensible...

Tough grid (as usual) completed last night. Nothing jumped out at me. Looked at it again this morning and got where I needed to be.

I was stuck. Then I read Al Sisti's post and it all came together in a snap. Thanks Al! I am on the beach and life is good!
