The answer to the metapuzzle is a five-letter word.

Thankful for an extra meta today, even if it didn't take very long. Learned something new, as I always do from PW.

I just submitted something, with about 35% confidence, but I can justify it, at least to myself.

Your answer was right - not sure why the uncertainty, you explained it perfectly ...

Your puzzles have shaken my self-confidence! But thank you for writing them. It was a particularly welcome distraction in these weird times.

Got it. Needed to google some, both on the grid and for the meta. OK by me; I learned a thing or two.

I sent in an answer, but I didn't think I needed to explain anything...

Enjoyable meta. Grid taught me some new things.

Got it! Almost completed the grid without Google, but was stymied by 41A/38D. Never heard of either.

Same spot for me, and lots of Googling this grid. No clue on the meta.

Fun one. Now back to the WSJCC, which is confounding me right now. I'm sure I'm making it harder than it is.

I'm sad and small. I completed the grid the other day and set it aside to "work" from home. After finishing wsj and mgwcc, figured I could tangle with this one the rest of the weekend. Nope. Saw what I needed to right away and just like that, no more metas for the week.

Just wanna say that temporarily absent all our usual distractions (sports, kids events, public gathering du jour, etc.), I am more thankful than ever (ok, ok I've only been at this for about a year) for this community and our amazing constructors!

FYI, I've put up a new puzzle:

Stay safe everyone ...
