#51 - "Please Reiterate"

The answer to the meta puzzle is a six-letter phrase that does not end in S.

Loved it!

Tough grid, but in the end I needed to google only twice: once each for the NE and SW corners. Meta then came quickly.

Love this one! It felt like 72A violated a crossword convention, but maybe not... Otherwise I thought the clues were great. (Had to Google a few things of course.)

Great puzzle! I think I got it too.

And agree about 72A, although I kind of liked the flaunting of convention - very unexpected and seemed to make it harder not easier (which IMO made it ok?).

After a few false starts on the meta, got a more consistent solve method and submitted what I hope is the answer.

Update - confirmed as correct.

I actually wrote a parenthetical for this clue that read something very similar to "(this clue violates a crossword convention)" but then decided to just do it unapologetically.

I'm confident I know approximately what a first step is here, and even have an answer, but it's nothing like a confident answer.

Got about 3/4 of grid without looking things up. Enjoyed the meta. I laughed when I got 72A.

Submitted my answer after a reconsideration of the first step made it seem considerably more solid.

Got stuck for a long time on what I was positive must be the right path. Now I see it was wrong. I'd be interested to see if anyone else went this way as well (after the deadline).

I didn't have much time to think about this yesterday, but took a fresh look today and had a very satisfying solving experience as I arrived at what I am going to assume is the right answer.

Think I got it. Neat to see it come together.
I, too, have a streak of two going, also marking a personal best!

I'll humbly add that my wife, who loathes crossword puzzles, helped me get the final answer once I found the mechanism. I was feeling pretty clever showing her how I'd figured out most of it, then she just blurted out the answer.

This one was kinda unusual for me so I really liked it. I got a nice aha moment out of it.

Stay safe everyone!

Good one. I was stuck for a while on all "AD..." themers: ADULTERY, ADVERTISEMENT, ADHD, ADDO, ADDITION.
