"The answer to the metapuzzle is a movie, a famous line from which you must defy several times to solve the meta."

This was a fun one!

The meta was fairly easy and fun. I’m going to need to learn French and go to law school to solve these darn grids.

Gave up on the grid after being only a quarter of the way done after 15 minutes. Fortunately, I solved the meta before I finished the grid. In fact, I solved the meta before I even started the grid. Sometimes you just see it. A clever one!

Fun meta, tough fill. I had to Google several squares.

And Beth is right - I’m trying to learn French! :)

It’s fun to discover that there’s a line you’ve never heard of from a movie that you have heard of. It’s all good! Nice meta!

Me too, if "several" means like 15... This was a fun meta, but I feel like these are testing my threshold for how difficult a grid can be and still be enjoyable.

Googled my way through the grid, and then was struck with fear, because I am not a movie watcher AT ALL. Saw the light, though. Very clever meta.

Got it, and I've got a little trivia for you from the movie once the solution is revealed.

Got it. Fun! Tough grid. Still not sure I have a couple of things right, even after googling.

Tough grid (but most of PWs are). My wife remembers this movie more than I do and came up with the solution.

This one finally clicked. Knew the movie, but don't remember the line.

The bit of trivia I was going to mention in post #12 was that Patrick Swayze and the backroom dancers are seen drinking Utica Club beers! https://iloveuticany.com/patrick-swayze ... tica-club/
