Got the first step, but the solution is eluding me for now...Going to take a walk and let it simmer. Happy Valentine's Day, everyone.

On the board. Loved the Easter egg in one of the entries... I had to ask Matt if it was intentional because it literally made me LOL.

That took me longer than it should have. Got lost a bit in a detour, and also jotted down "19th century American" as my prompt by mistake. Both slowed me down.

Beam me up! I started late due to work stuff, and then went down a rabbit hole that it took a little while to climb out of. A nice week 2, but didn't go how I expected in a couple of ways...

I don't see it, can you tell us which entry? (If it's a spoiler, after the deadline of course.)sharkicicles wrote: ↑Fri Feb 14, 2020 3:30 pm On the board. Loved the Easter egg in one of the entries... I had to ask Matt if it was intentional because it literally made me LOL.

Got it! Clever. One of those puzzles where I figured out the mechanism not while staring at the grid but after I had taken a pretty long break and was doing something completely unrelated.

Beam me up as well. Very enjoyable, and quite “textured” for a week 2 IMO. Nice one.

Beam me up!
I agree with others here that the mechanism has a bit more to it than we might expect from a Week 2.

I'm still awaiting leaderboard update confirmation, but no real doubt - beam me up.
I looked at this on my phone between running errands this afternoon and saw the answer, but went ahead and went through it again when I got home and only then noticed how thorough Matt was.

I wasn’t sure that I got this one correct until the leaderboard updated. I was 90%+ sure, but the final step was not what I expected it would be. I also think this mechanism is somewhat more than a week 2. Nonetheless, a very enjoyable meta.
