Interesting grid and a wee twist in the meta.

What a great concept for a meta. Good clues too.

Had to look up a few people in the grid, but I'm a big fan of both 22D and 73A.

Fun meta.

Got it. Semi-tough grid, but quick solve for me this week.

I have some thoughts on this one, but I can't express them at this time. "Post" sounds like a good time. But as long as I'm here now, I'll boast that I needed nary a drop of Google to solve.

Beam me up!

Unlike Diana, I did have to google one of the themers (and check the spelling of another).

Beam me up! That was very enjoyable. I've been swamped at work but hope to catch up on this forum tomorrow.

Beam me up!

Big fun!

Lynne, a retired math teacher, had to help me a bit. The puzzles with numbers in parentheses can really confund me.

Ever since Matt's "Why Can't We?" puzzle, which confounded me, I panic when I see numbers in the clues. I tried to make this one more complicated than it should have been for me. I need to train myself to approach them more calmly.

I always panic when I see numbers. They just make me anxious. (Heidi)

Beam me up as well! Very enjoyable. Needed 15 minutes or so of quiet time to let the numbers settle out correctly. This after spending an hour or two in some interesting rabbit holes yesterday.

On the bright side I may have invented (or re-discovered) 2 or 3 new meta mechanisms!

Happy weekend to all!
