As my kids would say: this construction was “lit”! Very impressive. Ashore.

I always submit via the webform...I wonder if mug winners typically do the same or email.

Looks like you have to be a subscriber to get it.
The WSJ Saturday Variety puzzle is a cryptic this week. Just posted.

To get the Harper's cryptic you either have to be a subscriber or buy a single issue from a magazine rack. The library also may have a copy. Fortunately, the monthly cryptic in the WSJ is available to everyone. It looks pretty twisted this month. Cox/Rathvon rank among the best puzzle makers currently active.

These seem easier having a good nights sleep after completing the grid. This morning swam ashore third week in a row. Asked Diane for a Bloody Mary, but she switched that for a Bud Light. Great construction!

On shore after sleeping on it. Had to look at it several times before seeing the light.

Not sure who the author is (MatthewB?) but I second:

In my experience post-enlightenment only works when you are not seeking it. Unfortunately. Hopefully for you it will be different.

Ashore -- or at least there are too many elements to convince us that our approach is correct. Quickest time for us; perhaps we are getting better at this!

Quite thoroughly lost at sea. Possibly near the Earhart
wreckage.

On shore, finally! Having a busy week/weekend, so when I didn't get the meta right away I thought I might just stay on this ship this week. But I had a chance to look at it again today, and something clicked. Very clever puzzle!
