I had deja vu while solving the grid, so of course I had to hunt down what I was thinking of. Meta mechanism was totally unrelated, but that didn’t stop me from looking for something like the old puzzle instead of noticing the obvious in the current one.

Ashore. Both relieved to have solved, but disappointed to have solved so quickly. I guess it’s better than scratching my head on Sunday night, which has been the case for far too many recent Sundays.
