Is there a cache where Shenk puts the puzzles? I remember someone's old post to this forum with a link to a site with the WSJ puzzles stored by year and month, but I cannot find it just now.

I used the link at Crossword Fiend (http://herbach.dnsalias.com/wsj/wsj201126.puz) and changed the 26 to 27, and at about 1:06pm Pacific time it downloaded the .puz file for me as normal, including the meta instruction. Using AcrossLite (or whatever) you can then generate a pdf out of the puz file.
