Well, I have nothing yet. I was feeling great about getting the Queen Bee on the New York Times Spelling Bee in one sitting this morning, but am feeling humbled now.

I got step one for sure and I've got an answer that works. It's too much to be a coincidence but It's not as 100% as I'd like. I'll sleep on it and see how it looks in the a.m.

Yes, it WAS a challenge!
Well if Wendy and Meg say it's a challenge, I have no hope. Ah well, 6 weeks skunked...

Don't you dare give up! This one requires tenacity and concentration, certainly, but there's a terrific payoff at the end. And a considerable sense of relief and accomplishment!
Good luck, fellow Muggles!

On shore. A rather tricky puzzle for WSJ, I thought. But leave it to Matt.
I will be interested to see how this compares with MGWCC Week 4.

Too late. Already scrumpled and tossed. I am seriously OK with this, already working on something else.

Well, this certainly isn’t going to be a Thursday solve for me. Need to step away and give it a fresh look tomorrow.
It’ll give me something to do during the weekly office Zoom. 🤫

Well, it looks like this could be a GRueling weekend! No nEAT and easy answER is popping up as my eyes ROAm over the page. Instead of a 36-down, I fear that I may be in for a DRUbbing. Instead of a peNNy dropped, it might feel more like the anvil being dropped on the not-so-clevER Wile E. Coyote!
