Finished the grid. With the crisp snap in the air today, a nice 43D would be nice accompaniment to solving the meta tonight!

Wow--I am ashore. I saw each STEP right away with nary a PErambulation down into the rabbit warren. I am EAGer to see what they might doLE out at the Tiki bar. Perhaps a Yuengling--we finally remembered to pick some up when we were in Indiana last week.

55 Across brought back a childhood memory. I was convinced those tasted better than the other colors, and I was really sad when they got rid of it. If I remember correctly, they held a vote to determine the replacement color.

And that they were supposed to be ET's favorite candy, until Mars, Inc. thought he was too ugly to be associated with their brand. Major marketing miss, since sale of Reese's Pieces took off after the movie was released!
