You don’t have to have a correct grid to submit, just a full one. All “A” will let you submit.

It's been years since I took a course in English Grammar, but isn't the clue for 20 across grammatically incorrect? Since a quadrant, by definition, is 4 pieces, the word "four " isn't necessary. Correct?
BTW - puzzle finished!

I wonder if total newcomers will find this one so easy. It uses a gimmick that more experienced solvers will quickly look for but that might not occur to someone who has never done one of these. (IIRC, the same mechanism was employed a while back in a puzzle that had the fewest or second-fewest shorebirds.)

Also, I don't get 24A.

My gosh - already ashore ahead of the thunder storm headed our way. I hope there's some good shelter on the beach.....

Also, time to lock the baseball negotiators in the Sistine Chapel until they send out a puff of smoke to announce the baseball season.
