Will want to know how many submitted correctly
This week. Drinking an IPA and it’s not even 10:00 am.
Savoring a victory.

We won't know until Tuesday or maybe Wednesday. There probably will be over 95% correct submissions based on past experience. I expect about 2300 or more correct submissions.

I see lot's of posts from Thursday - - I get the actual paper on Friday. I'm guessing that the on-line version is available earlier?

On shore

Actually landed last night and had an IPA.

Tough to social distance on the crowded beach.

Takes me back to the “Milk Bar” I worked as a teenager at a holiday resort (caravan park) in England back in the early 70s. Kids in the Milk Bar... their parents in the real bar upstairs. Israelites, Young Girl, Proud Mary, Something In The Air and many more classics lodged in my brain with fond memories of summers and a few early romances. No phones or other modern day distractions. The old wood-framed pin tables (with very high tilt tolerance) and the ‘video’ game, which ran a looped 35mm film of a dog fight and flashed a red light bulb in the viewer when your sights aligned with the enemy plane) were the only distractions. Kids actually practiced the art of face-to-face conversation 24/7 and there was very little bickering! But I apologize for wittering on...
Thank you TPS, for taking me back in time as music so often does.
One world. One planet. One future.

Since you subscribe to the paper, you (likely) have an online subscription, & can

You will be emailed when the next puzzle is available online, including the weekday puzzle following Friday's - usually Monday's, unless there is a holiday - which contains the answer for the Crossword Contest (in the PDF).

Lots of us are talking about crowded beaches, but if this https://www.worldatlas.com/articles/pra ... world.html is the beach, we'd have almost a mile of shoreline each!

How many will the shore hold before it tips over? I'm getting concerned this week...

Good question as we are in uncharted waters. A mile is 5280 feet and we are 6 feet apart, that is 880 muggles per mile so I think we are safe for a while. And if the shore is 100 feet deep, that means it will hold all the submitters. LOL

I think I'm suffering quarantine brain. I've been clueless for a few weeks now and this one is no different. I feel like I should have it but I just don't. So someone has to keep Isaac company. Seems I've been elected. Happy Memorial Day weekend, Muggles.

Add me to the on shore list. Got to the grid late Thursday so didn't do anything more than fill it in. Was a swift solve when I looked at it Friday morning.

You can get it. You have gotten many that are much harder than this one. We need you on the shore.
