Quick question to one of our stat geeks: Is 385 posts getting near a record on the new forum?

I didn’t like this puzzle. Glad I didn’t spend much time on it.

Beat the previous record ("Then and Now" / Wonder Twins) by 50 posts. Combination of controversial meta, sheltering in place and influx of new members after the recent WSJ article.

You got the right state, but the wrong city.

I will put in a claim for the Bruins as they have the best record in the NHL

But since there is no playoff, the Stanley Cup should be awarded to them.

I was a Mathematics major at CMU. Actually, I began there when it was Carnegie Institute Of Technology. The Mathematics department was part of the Engineering school. Between my junior and senior years, the name changed to Carnegie Mellon University. My graduation diploma states that I graduated from Carnegie Institute Of Technology of Carnegie Mellon University. Andrew Carnegie was definitely a founder of the university and manufacturing, and donated the libraries! "My Heart Is In The Work!"

Did we hear the total number of submissions and correct answers from Mike this week? I didn't see it if we did.

Hello!

This was a tricky one! We had 1587 entries, and only 36% correct, a good deal lower than usual. So if you were among the solvers stumped by this one, you had lots of company (including me... though I was impressed Matt figured out a way to thematically weave our current topsy-turvy life into a crossword contest).

Big turnout for ADMONITION (that 'MO' was tantalizing, and the word seemed so appropriate) with 203! And another 201 for DISTANCING (another 10-letter word on everyone's minds). I defer to you Muggles as to whether those qualify as Pageants.

Also DIRECTIVES (27), ADMONITORY (11), INJUNCTION (8), DISRESPECT (7) and several others.

Congrats to this week's winner, Adam Breech of San Rafael, Calif. Stay safe, solvers!

Wouldn't it be fun if we "founding" members got a star by our name or something?
