I'm safely on shore. As others have noted, I had more challenges with the grid than the meta, but there is no ambiguity. I don't think we've ever seen a meta from this constructor before - thanks, Joanne! Now back to the Sweet 16 final. I have all 16 mini puzzles solved, just the meta left. And tomorrow is a week one...

On shore. I also thought the grid was tough but the meta was easy.

How the heck do you all finish the puzzle and meta in 17 minutes!? Do you have a machine that does it all for you? Is it the mysterious Crossword A.I. I’ve been hearing about on the dark web?! I’m spooked.

Ashore! And thank you Joanne for a challenging grid.
Also, with a new constructor, the Christmas poem is now complete...
‘Now Berry! Now, Gordon! Now, Shenk and Gaffney!
On Sullivan! on Muller! on Kelly and McClary!
From within cyberspace we yelled out the call,
Now puzzle us! puzzle us! puzzle us all!
Joanne's space was originally written as "On (TBA)" because up to that point we only had 7 constructors (including Shenk and his nom de plume...Kelly) and there are of course eight reindeer.

I'm on shore too. Very fun puzzle with a tougher than usual fill for me.billkatz wrote: ↑Thu Mar 05, 2020 5:05 pm I'm safely on shore. I too can now turn my attention to the Sweet 16 final puzzle. I'm sure of the words but have spent a LOT of time working on a Process of Elimination.
