The answer to this weekโ€™s contest crossword is what some people try after Thanksgiving.

I hope everyone has a safe and happy Thanksgiving!

Due to a very nice Seaglass pinot noir and a delicious Caesar salad preceding a perfect filet mignon, the Crossword Contest is cancelled tonight. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Occasionally, far too occasionally, everything just falls into place. Such is today.

On shore.

Got it. Very appropriate meta. I cooked for 14 this year. Shopping/Preparation/Cooking time: 16 hours more or less. Eating time: One hour more or less. Such a pleasure to turn on the dishwasher and sit down with a just-right-for-the-holiday puzzle.

Looks like Al Sisti and Streroto were already ashore before you set up this new topic, according to their posts on "Part Two" today.

On shore. Nice puzzle -- floundered a bit but then had an "aha experience".

On shore and stuffed. Had a hunch based on the title and it panned out.

Happy satisfied aftermath to all!

On shore! Would've been faster if I wasn't distracted by all this being social and spending time with family. No one else seemed excited about spending time staring at a crossword, can you believe it?? Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Fun and seasonal puzzle. Thank you, Mike Shenk! Muggles, I was supposed to be the one setting up the new topic on this website at 4 p.m. ... but we were a VERY merry bunch this year and even though dinner started at 2 we didn't get home til after 7 p.m.!
Good luck, fellow Muggles!

I know! I just don't get some people and their misplaced priorities!
Good luck, fellow Muggles!
