Yes. 2 weeks is a hot streak...that’s my story, and I’m sticking to it.

Oh, sorry...just catching up on the trend...

“Aha!”, said I—“Done!!”
Then my wife says from the den:
“You think you’re SO smart...”

This raises a question I have had. Do they call if you win the mug? Or do they reply to your email submission.
They replied to my email submission. I assume if you submit through the website they initiate an email to the address you provided.
So much nicer than that annoying phone call from Stockholm at 4:30 a.m. to tell you you've won. I hate when that happens.

We need a true stumper, which I'm sure we'll get (with MGWCC Week 4 and Week 5 coming up), because when I get the puzzles fairly quickly, I post here, then I stop paying attention to this discussion -- and miss all the fun! Anyway ...

Here I am again, probably 100 or more posts after my "Ashore!" post on Thursday night, and I'm wondering ...

Have there been any other particularly good puzzles this weekend? That is: outside of the other metas, the WSJ acrostic, the NYT cryptic and Spelling Bee, and the Newsday Saturday Stumper (always a favorite of mine).

Sometimes the Sunday crosswords in NYT and WaPo, and the Saturday WSJ, seem to me to be just BIG, and not all that fun. But if you particularly liked one or another, or can point me elsewhere, I'll have some time later today to do more puzzlin'!!.

It's been great fun on the ship. Lonely? A bit. But Isaac is great company. I've submitted the term I pulled out of the rabbit hole back on Friday but have little faith. So, that said, I'm not leaving the boat for fear of running into a storm en route to shore! Good luck, all.

On shore! Saw something in grid, but wasn’t sure if it would be a rabbit hole or not so I put it down for a while. Went back and realized it was the right path and then it came easily.

But sheesh! Only one star rating on this and lots of complaints that it’s too easy? This is a tough crowd! I liked the meta, though admittedly, it was on the easier side.

I too stared off and on for quite a while before seeing the path. Then thought, "Duh."

Am I the only one who can't figure out the meta? I've been down one rabbit hole, but can't find my way out...

Submitted a Hail Mary as time was running out, just as it did for our Eagles versus the Pats. Hope springs eternal.

I am sure you are not the only one, and on any particular puzzle it could be (and has been) almost every one of us. I know it has been said many times in the past but more than ever you need to focus on the title of the puzzle. If you think about it and look through the answers I am sure you will catch sight of that evasive rabbit.

Good luck.
NUDGES!I am always willing to give nudges where needed; metas should be about fun, not frustration. Send me what you have done so far because often you are closer than you think!
