My fastest “ashore” ever.
Let’s see if I can use this momentum on MGWCC.

The word is very common. It is only Friday so put it aside and pick it up in the morning. Good luck

It feels good to be back. What a crazy few weeks it's been, with the weekends slipping away before I realized it. TBH I'm not sure if I'm glad or slightly disappointed to have such an easy swim to shore to jump back into things. But I am happy I'm on the beach.

On shore I think...? This one didn't feel as "tight" as usual, so I hope there wasn't another step

ODE TO ISAAC
He’s usually tipsy and adrift asea
He, his bosun, and ensign make three
This week to settle a score
The crazed Commodore
Rowed home fast to serve his old Lady tea.

Thanks for including me in your list, Patty, but my so-called "limerick" was a tongue-in-cheek attempt (likely unsuccessful) to be humorous (in addition to which, the fifth line was dropped when you included it). Here is my entire post:

"Because posts in the form of limericks without rules governing either rhymes or scanning are becoming prolific, here goes:

There once was a Muggle nicknamed Jazzvibist
who solved "That's A Plus" 15 seconds after completing the grid
(although he hopes in his heart of hearts that
we all wind up as victims of a brilliant Pageant).
Finally, underscoring many previous comments, if the obvious solution turns out to be the correct one, a record high for shorebirds seems likely.
"

I was inspired to compose my "limerick" by one I had read in a Douglas Hofstadter book:

There was a young man of Milan
Whose rhymes they never would scan;
When asked why it was,
He said, ‘It’s because
I always try to cram as many words into the last line as ever I possibly can.'

In closing, I hope this one is worthier of inclusion:

I thought to myself 'This was nice -
I solved "That's A Plus" in a trice!"

(then I turned quite aghast -
this was way, way to fast -
could this mean I've been Pageanted twice?)"

My wife said she wanted a snuggle
Her day had been quite a struggle
Not before
I swim ashore
Sorry... you married a Muggle!
