I admit that I am new to this but was this one really that simple? If so, I am ashore.

Filled in the grid, biked over to the literal beach to watch the sunset, back to the house, and made it to the figurative shore.

Wow. I must be missing something obvious.

OK I have an answer. Maybe it was too obvious?

Hmm. I guess I have it, though it doesn't strike me as one of Matt's most elegant or ingenious metas...

I think this is Matt's way of telling me to make some headway in that stack on the night table and the backlog on the DVR.

And reading through the comments I see that some people have apparently been inspired by the most recent episode of the In Our Time podcast.

13 minutes from puzzle release to being on the shore. Isaac must have had your jet ski waiting.

The meta helped me get the last part of the grid--learned a couple of new things! On shore.

A little late to the beach as we went out to dinner right after I set things up.

Looks like I’ll have to wait for the next shore shuttle- big line up ahead of me now. If Matt was just trying to show off, he succeeded- really fun construction. Actually I’m sort of hoping for a pageant, though it seems like none of us will be attending.
Right on schedule, common 4-letter word SNOW arrives in northern Maine today. Bummer.

There’s something very strange about this meta...

On shore, and I'm pretty sure on shore for the first time since this blog was formed. Makes me glad I picked up some Bell's Two Hearted Ale to celebrate.

And I'm gonna feel pretty stupid if my answer is incorrect...

On shore. The WSJ must have taken pity on us after fewer than 750 muggles managed to solve the last 3. I think we'll have a record number of correct answers.

This week I'd have a better chance at winning the Powerball jackpot with a single ticket than winning the mug.
I'm back after a few weeks away from shore. Having nothing to contribute and being very busy, I haven't visited here for quite a while. I made it to shore very quickly this week. Glad to know from the previous comment that I was not alone in my sorry state the last few weeks. I think they did take pity on us this week. Easiest one in a long time. Hoping for continued success in coming weeks.

Done and apparently done. Looking cross-eyed at this as well.
If I'm around, I am willing to join the Muggle Zoom room at other times to lend a hand to those in need.
