Ugh! Last week I was hot; this week I'm not. I got nothing for PGWCC or WSJ!

Ashore!

I'm withholding a comment, which I'll bet some others here may be thinking of too, so as not to give a hint.

Early on I made a big mistake, which prevented me from reaching the beach. Then I realized the mis-assumption and I reached the sand. Another margarita, please!

I too made a mistake in my thinking at first. I believe I'm on the correct beach now.

On shore. Fantastic puzzle construction! I'll avoid writing anything else for fear of giving a spoiler.

This week's PGWCC helped me with one answer!
Ha ha! Me too. I'll bet it's the same one.

Wow - great puzzle Mike! A fun solve.

And I’m pretty sure I spent some time in the same rabbit hole as others. It made the aha all the better.

Beer me!

On shore. Earlier this afternoon there was a bit of a spoiler in this forum, but it's gone now. I probably would have gotten this one anyway, but I suspect this one will have fewer correct answers than we've seen for a while.

This is probably the best crossword contest I've seen. Very well done, Mike!

Ashore! Thanks to PGWCC for putting 38D in my head. My boyfriend actually got the answer for this one (well, I got the first step and he got the rest of it), and was very pleased with himself. (Usually it's me staring at the crossword and him sitting there wondering what in the world is wrong with me.)

Yay on the grid, 'neigh' on the meta. Back to it. Also, made the mistake(???) of partaking in Guiness before solving the meta!
'tis... A lovely day for a Guinness!

I hope I know these characters well (which is unlikely) because if my route to the meta solution is correct I think I'll need to recognize the characters to find the path to success more quickly.

Well after posting a spoiler earlier on accident, I’ve found my way to shore finally. Apologies to anyone who may have seen that and got unwanted help. I tried my best to get rid of the post quickly when I realized!

Loved this one! I guessed the gimmick halfway through the puzzle but it took me a really long time to put it into play. I'm joining the 56D; who's the leading man?
Good luck, fellow Muggles!
