This week's contest is Horseplay by Mike Shenk. The answer to the contest is a pair of well-known characters.

Good luck getting the contest and the mug

While it may sound a bit ostentatious
(and perhaps a wee smidge less-than-gracious)
Though our times were the same
I think I’d win the game
If I wasn’t so dad-blamed loquacious.

Al- Always enjoy your loquacity (especially the poetic variety)! I don't really have anything to say, and self-censored a comment that might have been seen as a spoiler!

Ashore ... and eager to quench my thirst with whatever pint my host allows. A pleasure to swim, yet again, in this intimidatingly wise and poetic company (and the shared Guinness makes me forget I'm too often a pretender)!

On shore after a few false starts.

This week's PGWCC helped me with one answer!

Got it. Early visit to the shore. Wrong shore last week, but pretty sure it's the right shore this week. See you all there soon!

Just finished the grid. I haven't spotted the horse yet. Last week I got to lava cake and got stuck. Maybe this week I can get the horse to giddyup!

I’m pretty sure I’m doing exactly what I’m supposed to do but nothing’s coming out yet.

Never mind. Got it finally. Pretty dang cool.

Keep trying Scott! It falls into place pretty quickly once you get rolling.
