I submitted an answer, but, I'm not 100% sure of it's correctness.

On shore! This is a 100 percenter, but it took a little searching to find the right stuff. (Heidi)

Grid done in 27 minutes. However, The Commodore's Lady awaits with dinner. Strong hints that 27-A may be involved. Isaac, see you first thing tomorrow. Fish out the hair o' the dog recipe.

Ashore. Like others, I spent more time on the grid than the meta (and that wasn't very long).

Nice one! Quick trip to shore. I imagine there will be long odds to win a mug on this one.

I must be on shore as I have a 4-letter noun that makes some sense, but I'm going to sleep on it and check again tomorrow to make sure I'm right. I jumped off the boat quickly, but had a longer swim than anticipated because I needed to do some research.

I feel like I'm too young for this puzzle once again. I haven't yet submitted this month's MMMM for the same reason.

My first time on shore on a Thursday night. What will I do for the rest of the weekend?

On the beach! 🏖 🍹

Knew 10D with no hesitation, thanks to a meta puzzle awhile back. Fun to see it!

I think I've got the first one and a half steps, but now I'm stuck. Since everyone else seems to think it's pretty straightforward, I wonder if I might be about 40 years too young for this puzzle...

Solved. Nice classic meta that took just the right amount of time to solve.

🤸🏼‍♂️ Finished the grid and meta, but no way I’m leaving the garden this early. It needs some TLC, (and Isaac too) so I’m staying aboard for the weekend. So Bob, count me as 12d in the stern garden for the time being. It’s a lot warmer there than in my own Maine garden now- first snowflakes coming tomorrow. Hope it’s not going to be an 18d situation.

StElmoFlash wrote: Thu Oct 03, 2019 6:46 pm Thart's it? Do the most obvious thing, find a couple of maybe confirmations, and that's it? Some of this puzzlemaker's epics have involved 4 or 5 more steps than this,no?
Welcome to the land of the muggles. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. On the Come Aboard page under FAQ- Community there is a lot of background and a lot of suggestions for solving these metas

Good luck winning the mug
