"He's Good" - July 5, 2019

By Matt Gaffney. The answer is a famous writer.

Have a happy and safe Independence Day, everyone. I will be celebrating, as we do every year, with my family in Petoskey, Michigan, which is truly my "happy place."

It is truly beautiful here in Northern Michigan. The water is clear as glass, unsalted and shark-feee. The fireworks won't start until around 10:30-11 p.m. because we are about 40 miles north of the 45th parallel and it doesn't get dark until then.

Please let us how you're celebrating and post a picture if you can. Happy 4th!!

Agree. That memory popped into my brain, too, and probably made this one go quicker. That said there’s one piece here which seemed innovative that I really enjoyed.

That was a good one — I like it a lot! Tied up with a bow Gaffney-style.

Had this one in hand shortly after filling in the last square. Wait a minute: There's still one square unfilled. That's OK, it's not getting in the way of the solution.

Count me on shore. Thinking it's gonna be really crowded this weekend.

Happy Birthday, America. 243 candles on your really big cake!

Old Glory flying in the Philly suburbs.
