I feel like this is a hundred-percenter. But maybe that's because the solution jumped out at me very quickly.
Keep at it and good luck!

Onshore! First hunch seems to have been correct unless I've been led astray.

Ashore. Thinking Isaac was getting tired of me for the last few, well, months. Glad the synapses fired enough to get this one. More genius from Mike.

I had the right answer but got there via a less convincing route -- a coincidence I'll explain on Monday.

Although I am biased toward Mike's puzzles, I always have trouble noticing metas that go this way. So, although I had to let it simmer a bit...I did get it.

Finally! Everything clicked and I am on shore where I plan to have fish; no meat, lean or otherwise. Happy Father’s Day to all the Dad’s and Granddad’s.

Just checkin' in - no time to look at the grid this week but have been on a "shore" on the Outer Banks for the past few days celebrating the 50th wedding anniversary of close friends, a wonderful time had by all, great weather and no rain for 4 days! Back home in Detroit today, where it's raining again, and back to work tomorrow. Happy Dad's Day.

Sent an answer in, but no confidence in it. Based on comments here, that means it is likely an incorrect answer.
