turn up the volume really, really loud.

And then we can work on the meta

so far we have 55 on the shore and 5 on the ship.
I’ll admit to still being on the ship....not an NFL expert by any means. I have some of what I need to solve, but not all.

I’m sad. I do know football. But am still with Isaac. Maybe he will help move me to the goal line.

Come on Cindy

You have to give 110%
It's gut check time
Leave it all on the line
It does not get any better than this
Play one meta at a time
Nothing comes easy in metas
It's do or die time
There is no tomorrow
We know you won't be denied today
This game is all mental
Are you willing to pay the price?

Did I miss any sports clichés?

I'm finally 14A!

From the moment I saw the puzzle, I generally knew what I needed to do, but I had a few false starts. The red herrings probably weren't put there intentionally, but I got tripped up.

Even if someone doesn't figure it out, there are a very limited number of players who fit the criteria in the clues. I won't say exactly how many, but I found all of them last night hoping that it would help me solve the puzzle.

Well what do you know - I did get it. Turned out not to be as complicated as I tried to make it.

Scratch offshore. Now onshore. 🙋‍♀️
Final score: MaineMarge 7 - Mike 0
Gave myself the extra point, just because.
Really really fun when I got the drift.

Onshore 100% and I actually enjoyed solving, which are two things I really did not see myself saying this week! I take back most of my grumpy old lady grumbles. I guess I was still scarred from last week's flaming failure and saw a replay looming.

..and for the record I also enjoyed the first step of last week's meta. I'll say no more about that last step.

Newly registered just to say I thought it was weird to pick this particular guy as a meta answer but, and I won’t get too spoilery here, if you think about it in a certain way...

Welcome to the land of the muggles. A good solid win and good luck winning the mug. As far as why he picked this player either 1) it fit or 2) he is a @#$%^ fan

Departed Grump-a-lump 80% Island. Fond farewell to Isaac. Land Ho!
Great trip down memory lane for fans of the game. Red herrings abound, reminding me of so many stars.
Look forward to Monday Morning Quarterbacking.
