Wheel Alignment

#1

Post by cbarbee002 »

Goooooood Morning Muggles (read as would Adrian Cronauer), and welcome to another Muggles Meta Monday. I won't offer any predictions regarding difficulty (as I have proven to be inept at that), but today's meta is clearly more straightforward than last week's.

As always, PM me with your solutions by Sunday around noontime and I'll post leaderboards along the way. I'll also provide a nudge on Wednesday.

The title of this week's meta is Wheel Alignment. I'm predicting some quick solutions.

The answer to the meta is something you might also get while being aligned. Enjoy and good luck!

UPDATE: Bird Lives (Jay) correctly pointed out that clue 15A should read "One of five for an 18-wheeler", not one of six. Mental muff - - doesn't affect the meta. Thx Jay!

I am sending Chris a bill because of his puzzle. After I printed out the puzzle, I went to start the car and the battery was dead so there is a clear cause and effect so it must be his a fault.

Now back to the meta - grid is done

I had a dead battery last week! Coincidence? Or a nudge?

Solved, with a small bit of grace from Chris on one piece.

Another great puzzle from an emerging talent!

As posted in an update to post #1 above, clue 15A should read "One of five for an 18-wheeler", not one of six. Apologies - - doesn't affect the meta. (Thx Jay!)

Don't have the meta, yet; but enjoyed the grid. Chris gets extra points for proper usage of "comprise". 37d is a new word for me.

Sending in my meta answer in hopes it's correct. I can certainly relate to 14a!

I believe I am off the couch and now waiting for the freezing rain. 26 degrees here on the ground and rain predicted overnight. Not good

Generator ready and gassed up.

Confirmed that I am off the couch.

Believe it or not, it is 19 degrees in Meridian, MS and supposed to go down to 12. Rain is gone. Surface streets were not cold enough to ice over today, but bridges were. Don't know if the streets dried enough to avoid ice tonight and tomorrow.
