"New Beginnings- A Fresher Start"
To paraphrase T-Bone: The call it stormy Monday, but at least there’s a meta.
The answer is a person whose first name is so distinctive that, like at least five
others, they're probably the first or only person you think of when you hear it.
Solvers may find in some entries an echo from the past — as long as ten days ago — but do not let that similarity divert you to the wrong path.
PM me with your answer, which will surely be correct.

Glad to see this here since I tried the version from last week's WSJCC thread (but didn't get too far) and was hoping for some discussion eventually.
At first glance,I see you've tweaked it somewhat.
Not glad that you've doubled down on the dreaded parentheses numbers!
But thanks, and looking forward to delving into it more this time around.

Off the couch!
This was a uniquely enjoyable puzzling experience, seeing basically the same content reworked into a different meta. Who'da thunk it? The updated version is smoother than the rough from a week or so ago, despite the remaining presence of 47D. (Hey, I can live with it.) Funny thing, between then and now, I forgot the answer! So it was fun to work through it again.

I never know how/if to respond here when a meta comes out where I was a test solver... but anyway, I solved it.

Test solver, real solver. Same thing. You still had to solve it.

Solved it & found a little something extra.
Side note from a weekend discovery: silicone caulk from 2006 cannot still be expected to harden in whatever year this is.

Solved - very cool puzzle. Liked it a lot more than the faint memory it invoked!
