WSJ Cryptic Crank Letter
This is hard!! I’m about 85% done. Figuring out where the clues start and stop is fun!
OK done. Whew! PM me if you need a nudge.

What a grind! It was brutal for awhile but I gradually chipped away and things fell into place.

Tough one, for sure. About ⅔ finished. Coming up for air.
Edit: finished. Hardest HEX I can remember.

Whew!! I am making very slow progress, chipping away at both ends...
EDIT: All done! (after spending much more time than I'd like to admit on this.) A very tough but satisfying puzzle - it takes parsing the clues to a whole 'nother level.
I'm happy to nudge if anyone is stuck - please PM.

That was a workout. Cox and Rathvon are amazing.
There was one clue/answer that I just couldn’t parse.

Does anyone know when the WSJ will publish the solution?
I’m curious to see if and how the “letter” is marked up. They typically provide the parsing to the clues. For this one, we should see the clues also!

I checked past WSJ cryptics and the solution is on the same page as the puzzle. I assume it is added at some point, but I don’t know when. I’ll try to remember to check daily.Richard B. wrote: ↑Sun Dec 06, 2020 12:17 pm Does anyone know when the WSJ will publish the solution?
