Fun, but as so common in Richard E. Maltby, Jr.'s puzzles, this one's entries include quite a few UNcommon words (which REMJ, as always, owned up to in the instructions). A bit like PGWCC -- I can count on learning something here.
I believe you can get Harper's puzzles only if you subscribe. I've been getting the print edition, really only for the puzzle, for many years without ever seeming to pay for it. When I subscribed, it must have been a special deal for, like, 20 years or something.

Chris, I'm impressed you can complete the Harper's puzzle regularly... I've been working for years on solving cryptics, and now I can *mostly* finish the Nation puzzle on my own, I still can barely get a single answer after staring for hours at Harper's.
