NOTE: Minor spoilers, don't read if you want to go in unbiased.

Come on, WSJ. This is one of the only crosswords I've seen that doesn't have a rebus option for solving online. Very frustrating. The technology exists (see The Washington Post's Sunday crosswords, for example). Is anyone else frustrated by this/has anyone found a workaround (besides printing it out)? Entering only the first letter is not a good solution - makes it very difficult to keep track of things.

I usually remake the WSJ puzzle as it comes out in PUZ file in one source into a rebus after the fact. But 9 times out of 10 I usually print it out, so it doesn't bother me.

What bothered me more, truthfully was the Natick in the Northeast.

Yes, I agree. Find it odd that WSJ puzzles sometimes have rebuses and their site doesn’t handle it while I don’t remember ever seeing one in the LA Times and their site would allow it.
