"The Other Muggle" Video on YouTube

#1

Post by MarkL » Wed Jun 24, 2020 9:05 pm

Given there are more than 600 Muggles and this video has only 130+ views, I am willing to venture not many have seen it. See Mike Schenk and Mike Miller as they discuss the evolution of Muggles and the quest for a Mug.

See y'all Thursday!

Cheers,
Mark

PS. You may have to 'rewind' to the beginning.

Wow, That is great! I had not seen it before. Love the Isaac clip they got in there at 5:22 -- too funny!

I was at that tournament and am in the video for about half a second. 8-)

This is great! Thank you!

When you watch, be sure to go back to the beginning. The link takes you part way through.

From the beginning, if opening in a new browser tab. The Youtube app begins the video shortly before it ends.

Thanks for posting!

Excellent video!! I loved the 'pageant' bit. A puzzle we will not soon forget. It’s nice to see what people look like.

Here's a link that starts from the beginning: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ShzxhHyqQ5I&t. Also, if anyone's curious, the grid that he's writing "THE OTHER MUGGLES" in at the very beginning is the Patrick Berry's puzzle "Game Pieces" from Friday, February 21, 2020. :D

For those of you who cry at weddings, there's a follow-up to the engagement of Amanda and Brendan (seen in the video mentioned above). They had Will Shortz and crosswords (and a meta) at the wedding. Check out the blog on Wordplay (the NYT crossword blog):

I hope the link works. I don't know if you have to have a digital subscription in order to read the article.

Interesting:

The first link opens the video in the YouTube app, well into the video, whether on a computer or phone.

The next two open the app in a new browser tab on a computer, at the beginning, but open the video in the YouTube app on a phone, well into the video.

Some coder can explain it. I won't try!

In any case, a great story!

Neato! I'm so happy to have found this lovely cruise group however long ago...

I saw one of mine from about a year ago, after I first joined and prior to this forum starting up.
