"The two children at this Seder (see attached drawing, or at avxwords.com/apr08/) are trying to 40-Across. But you can play 40-Across in this crossword grid, too! In fact, doing so will lead you to the contest answer. Send your answer to pesach@avxwords.com by the end of Sunday, April 12 for a chance to win a prize. (If this is your first meta crossword, see on.wsj.com/3e39DJy for instructions)"

Great fun! Great way to introduce the younger generation to metas! I would love more picture-puzzle metas like this for myself as well!

I got the grid (fun!) but no clue on the meta. I often say that and then a half hour later solve it, so I"ll update everyone tomorrow.

Did the grid last night and couldn't figure out the meta, but this morning it was obvious. Fun, and great picture!

I agree. I always liked puzzles that are part words, part pictures. I have a couple jigsaw puzzles that come with a booklet that has a mystery you have to read, but you can't completely figure out whodunit until you see a visual clue... that is in the puzzle you have to put together. I may have to break one of them out again.
